Spaghetti & Cards [Recipe]

Last Friday  my mom made a games night with some friends and family and she originally wanted some spaghetti with sausages, but those are made usually of pork and well, is lent season and some of my mom's friends do respect the rule of not eating meat on Fridays  so after making some changes to the menu everything went better than expected, my mom bought some shrimps and tomato sauce, since the original idea was with butter and garlic.

So after some talking, jokes, couple glass of soda and 3 rounds of domino, my mom take out the dinner.
Sometimes I get really amazed by how my mom manages to make some dinner in wich you can almost explode, because I don't always now what the whole menu will be, we didn't even miss the cheese in the pasta, not because we didn't have some, we just forgot about it on the way out from the kitchen to the dining room.

Dinners are actually some of the things I love the most about life, cooking for friends and family it's awesome and it always leaves you with amazing experiences and funny anecdotes.
My mom was a little worried when she put the Spaghetti in the water because it turn out to be a different size of noodle than the ones she usually buys, but i told that wouldn't be a trouble.

My mom also made her signature salad which is basically lettuce, cucumber, onion and tomato with a secret dressing, it would be awesome to share it but is her dressing not mine, so, sorry; but I will give you a hint, the flavor that it gives i's just like a bunch of salt&pepper, which makes the salad actually very delicious and the favorite among my mom's friends.
She made some garlic bread (those are her favorite meal) and she just puts pieces of bread in a pan with some butter and then put on top some garlic salt. Those are perfect life savers in almost any meal.
Everything looked gorgeous on the table (I wish I had my camera on me that day, bad blogger bad!)
And to finish here's the recipe of our Life Savior "Spaghetti with Shrimps"
I didn't put the list of ingredients because I don't know exactly the measurements.

Spaghetti with Shrimps
-First of all put your package or ration of Spaghetti into boiling water till it's at your desire consistency.
-In another pot boil some water and put inside he shrimps, these don't usually take a lot of time, like 5 minutes or less and they'll be ready. If you want to, pull out the head, tails and skin out of the shrimps. You can do this before or after you put them in the pot.
-Put some bought or home made tomato sauce in a pot a let it boil add a little bit of salt, pepper, clove, oregano/marjoram and laurel.
-Combine the sauce with theSpaghetti, serve it and put a ration of shrimps on top and you're good to go.

I hope you try this recipe and if you do be sure to let me now via twitter

Lots of love
- Florencia
